Honor the past . . . but look the the future.

Prov 22:28 Do not remove the ancient
landmark Which your fathers have set. NKJV
Part of my spiritual heritage is at Christ For The Nations http://www.cfni.org/ where I went to Bible school. CFNI is celebrating 40 years of training leaders and we just had our Alumni Conference. This conference has "worship" as it's theme, so they brought back 13 of it's former worship leaders. WOW!! What a time of worship we had.
Reminded me of all of the great times of worship and life changing moments that I had right there in that auditorium. As I stood there in the God moments of our worship time last night I heard the Lord very clearly. "HONOR THE PAST BUT I AM NOT FINISHED YET." No big startling revelation there because Jesus has not returned yet and there is so much to be done. JUST A GENTLE NUDGE FORWARD IS ALL IT WAS BUT VERY ENCOURAGING THAT SO MANY OF THE PROMISES I HEARD FROM GOD IN THOSE DAYS HAVE REALLY HAPPENED IN MY LIFE.
I honor the past by living my dream but I am not finished yet. ACTUALLY JUST GETTING STARTED.
Come on friends let's continue to move forward!!

Leadership Quote . . . .

Let's be the kind of leaders that help people overcome in life. Let's not be the kind of leaders that people have to overcome to live life.

I cannot remember where I read that at but it has really been speaking to me lately. Trying to concentrate on preaching, teaching, leading, planning, and having vision to make people better.

Living Strong,

A SUCCESSFUL FAIR

Generations Church partnered with Ronald McDonald House of Lubbock, TX to raise money the South Plains Fair (check out the link). This was the second year for this partnership and it once again proved very successful.

This was my 15th year Corn Dogging at the South Plains Fair. It is some of the hardest work I have ever done in my life but it is also very rewarding.

I am very grateful to the Generations Church team who worked so hard to make this happen. From putting 19,000 wienes on sticks in just 1:15. It was amazing!! To all the shift work we did out the Fair each day. THANKS BUNCHES!!

I am super thankful to my wife for working so hard along side me in this endeavor. CONNIE IS A SUPER TROOPER. Not only did she work very hard but she put up with a crazy and cranky husband. YOU DESERVE A MEDAL OR SOMETHING.

Here are some pictures. . . .

With MIXED EMOTIONS WE MUST

1. Decide to live out of our spirit and not our emotions. Live out of our inner man. Galatons 5:25; Romans 8:14

2. Renew our mind (our inner man), so that we can prove the will of God. Romans 12:2

3. Choose the Word of God above all else.

Simple but true!
