If we use a hammer on a screw rather than a screw driver we are perverting the hammer and it does not work right. It is the same for our gifts that God has given us. Our gift gets perverted if we use it in the wrong position or in the wrong way. Perverted gifts have really caused a lot of people to get frustrated and hurt. As a leader I want to work hard at getting people in the right position to succeed.

Totally agree with you. We are seeing a spirit of apathy about serving in our church and I believe most of it comes to us as leaders just trying to fill positions. We just went through the SHAPE study with the youth in hopes of not making that mistake with them...
