Seek and Save

Luke 19:10 tells us that Jesus came to seek and save the lost.

I just finished a time of ministry at a great church in El Paso, TX by the name of Word of Life Church. It was pioneered by Pastors Tom and Sonia Brown over 25 yrs ago. They are great leaders who have just refused to quit. They are infuencers over the spiritual climate of their city and region.

They invited me to come speak on purity in their two Sunday morning services. My title was "THE VALUE OF VIRGINITY." In both services there were those who committed to VIRGINITY AND SECONDARY VIRGINITY. I was so blessed to see young people and adults respond in both services. In the first service I did not make a call for salvation or getting the doubt out. In the second service I did make that kind of altar call at the very end.

Here is where the grace and goodness of my God just overwhelmed me. As I normally do I asked those who came forward for this altar call if this was there first time to receive Christ into their life. There were six people who received Christ for the first time in their life and about 20 others who were wanting to get the doubt out so they could know that they are His children (John 1:12). In the six who received Christ for the first time there were two men whom God touched in a marvelous way because one seemed to be in his forties and the other seemed to be in his fifties.

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? According to most of the research that I read today 85% of all people that receive Christ for the first time do so before they are 18, so to see these two middle aged men accept Jesus in their hearts for the first time in their lives caused me to REJOICE IN A LOUD VOICE before the congregation.

Another amazing fact about this event is the fact that these were men among several hundred in the congregation - COURAGEOUS MEN I MIGHT ADD. You see many of those that came forward were already in the altar for the PURITY CALL, but these two men came forward from the audience.

GOD IS UP TO SOMETHING BIG IN THESE DAYS. Lets occupy until HE COMES AGAIN!!
